Services We have had the opportunity to design virtually every type of building foundation and framing system. Our foundation design experience covers everything from simple warehouse and residential slabs-on-grade to foundations suspended over highly expansive clays using deep piles. We've also utilized most every kind of structural material, including wood and timber framing, post-tensioned and conventionally reinforced concrete, precast concrete, tilt-up concrete walls, structural and light gauge steel framing, and load-bearing masonry. Every project is unique. Not only the architecture, but soil conditions also vary significantly from project to project. We have discovered that a wide and diverse experience in building types, foundation and framing systems and materials used is invaluable to developing innovative yet cost effective design solutions. We often find ourselves combining the technology and framing systems of one construction type with the more cost-effective materials of another. Winter Engineering offers licensed professional engineering services for all phases of a building project from pre-design consulting to construction drawings and construction administration. We also provide field observations, structural damage assessments and offer reconstruction strategies.
